1. Park City Mountain

Over 7,000 acres of skiing, Park City Mountain offers many days worth of trails for all expertise to be fully entertained and exhausted.

2. Deer Valley

A luxurious mountain resort, Deer Valley limits the number of lift tickets sold in a day, works to beautifully groom runs, and keeps their season tight to ensure premium ski conditions. No snowboarding allowed.

3. Alta

One of three remaining ski resorts in the U.S. that prohibits snowboarders, Alta has a modern infrastructure in a rustic setting. Beginner terrain makes up 25 percent of Alta and 35 percent expert, which leaves 40 percent for intermediate skiing.

4. Brighton

All of the terrain at Brighton is accessible by high-speed quads. Brighton ski resort attracts both skiers and boarders alike, thanks in part to four terrain parks, a half-pipe and a girls-only terrain park called Krista’s Park.

5. Snowbird

Boasting the longest ski season in Utah, Snowbird attracts a variety of skiers. The ski resort has a beginner terrain park, but for freestyle skiers and riders, head for Chip’s Run, a 2.5-mile-long run with jumps and a natural quarter pipe.

6. Solitude

Solitude is an intermediate skier’s delight. More than half of the 1,200 acres are labeled for those in the middle, but there are also advanced areas and beginner runs to please everyone. The Bavarian-style village complete with Swiss Chalets is a must see and enjoy. Reserve lodging early!

7. Sundance

The ski resort that Robert Redford built, Sundance Resort has a rustic, yet elegant feel to it. Sundance offers not only 42 runs, but dramatic scenery and abundant wildlife.

8. Nordic Valley

Nordic Valley is expanding and adding new lifts, but it is still wonderfully secluded and offers the best of Utah’s snow at a budget-friendly price.

9. Powder Mountain

Nearly 8,000 acres of lift-accessible snow, Powder Mountain has the most skiable acreage of any resort in the United States. Shuttles and snowcats can transport you to even more!

10. Snowbasin

11. Cherry Peak

14. Brian Head

With the highest base among Utah’s resorts Brian Head and the views of nearby national parks does not disappoint. There are three terrain parks, two tubing hills and backcountry access to keep the whole family and all skill levels engaged.
